Caesar Cipher

Explore Cyber Space What if you wanted to hide that message in plain sight? With a caesar cipher you can. The idea is we swap the letters in the cipher for letters that aren’t easily read. First we set up a scrambler by listing the standard alphabet and then shifting the alphabet to the right or left and writing it out again.

Now that we have our scrambled alphabet, we can now scramble our message.

Another approach is to use a keyword, and then fill in the letters alphabetically. For this example our keyword will be “cipherz”.

Now we can share our keyword, and whoever has it, can send us secret messages and translate our messages.
