Scholarships are awarded to students based on their work with the CybHER Club at DSU. While CybHER works to promote women in cybersecurity, all students are allowed to participate and, therefore, are eligible for the scholarship.
A statement from Chad Knutson, President, SBS CyberSecurity, about the SBS Scholarship:
“Our team at SBS feels a strong responsibility to support our community, DSU, and these students. Many of our employees live in the surrounding communities and are alumni of DSU. This scholarship program is critical for two important reasons. First, it is indisputable that we have a growing need for cybersecurity talent and these students must quickly get prepared to address this need. The second reason aligns with SBS’s goal of “helping businesses make better cybersecurity decisions” by providing diversity in our workforce, which will enable businesses to make more informed decisions to address their number one business risk, cybersecurity. We are proud to assist these students in preparing for these challenges and they are in good hands with DSU.”
